Grateful for You: Strengthening Communities Together

As we begin again in 2026, we extend our gratitude for your support in 2025, which enabled us to strengthen communities in Baja California, New Orleans, San Diego, and beyond.

In Baja California, we organized thirteen outreach events, providing food, clothing, essential resources and English instruction to families in need. Thanks to your donations, the Christmas initiative was particularly impactful, allowing families to present personalized gifts to their children. Your contributions also advanced the construction of the Piedra Angular (“Cornerstone”) church and homeless shelter in Francisco Zarco. Piedra Angular is entering the final stages of construction. The windows have been installed and the ceiling and insulation is next. We remain encouraged as we watch the church steward your donations by purchasing supplies as soon as they receive donated funds and doing all the construction work themselves.

In New Orleans, we held outreach events with a local church, hosted the 19th Thanksgiving meal in the 9th Ward community, and supported two Christmas toy giveaways. Our dedicated volunteers, many of whom have served since Hurricane Katrina, continue to support the community year-round. It was a special time to reflect on all the Lord has done in this community since 2005.  We are preparing for a special celebration for the 20th Thanksgiving meal in 2026.

In San Diego, we held a one-week youth summer Bible camp focusing on being “Planted with a Purpose.” Crafts, devotions and activities incorporated pledges to steward the environment and respect God’s creation. We also maintained ongoing Bible club meetings for girls, served bi-monthly food distributions in our Golden Hill neighborhood and hosted The Altar church plant at our home since September 2025. Pastor Chris and Ashley Littlecreek and their amazing team will be launching their church this Spring, contributing to new beginnings in South Park and Golden Hill.

We are honored to support other amazing ministries, including House of Hope Vision School in Palestine, and “For Girls Like You” magazine.

Our mission remains centered on sharing the message of Jesus Christ and fostering long-term engagement.  This year, we plan to continue each ministry area and expand programs in Baja California to include additional English learning opportunities, a girls’ Bible club, and a community garden.

We invite you to continue partnering with us in 2026—whether through volunteering, donating, or spreading the word—to help us strengthen communities and make a lasting impact.

Blessings,

The Family Serve Team
